''Take all your worries to the beach and wave them goodbye.” — The Diary of a Nomad

People go to the beach to relax and to get away from the busy city life. In the Philippines, there are many beach destinations, but Batangas is one of the best  famous beach resorts. The province has numerous beautiful beaches near Manila, ranging from black to powdery white sands.

The province of Batangas, which is about 2 hours and 100 kilometers from Manila, is a popular weekend escape for locals because of its beaches and islands,  fantastic diving places, mountains, and other attractions that can all be found in one place.

The beach that we went to in Batangas is San Diego lian beach resort. The inclusions that we paid for are Entrance fee, Corkage fee, the Parking fee, the ecological fee, the Beachfront, Open tables, and The accommodation we checked in includes two bedrooms with two double decks and a mattress, a gas stove, two restrooms, one large table, and some chairs. Tent pitching is also allowed.

How to get to San diego lian Batangas? Here are your options on how to go to Batangas.

Travel time to Batangas is approximately 2-3 hours depending on where location you are going.

By Land: Private Vehicles and Public Bus

traveling by land is the most preferred way of going to Batangas. For private vehicles, you need to pass through the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) going to STAR Tollway before exiting at various towns and cities in Batangas.

By Air (Outside of Manila)

The nearest airport to Batangas is the Philippines’ main airport hub of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Metro Manila. The airport’s terminals 1, 2 and 3 and the Domestic Airport Terminal 3 are in Pasay City. Upon arriving at these airports, you will then take a three-hour land trip to Batangas.

In our case, we went there using a private van. Driving a private car from Manila may take the Silang-Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa route, or SLEX.

Best Time to Go:  Batangas tourist spots are mostly outdoor attractions, that's why it's best to plan your trip around the months where there is less chance of rainfall.

All I can say is that Batangas is a weekender's favorite destination, because it has so much to offer! From white sand beaches and islands to beautiful mountain hiking trails, diving places, historical villages, and wonderful local cuisine. So, what exactly are you waiting for? Pack your bags, contact your buddies, and Visit Batangas!
